Mit Fjern Hjem (“My Distant Home”) is the Danish version of my song Home Away. I wrote it during a time when illness kept me from returning to Denmark, my homeland, for many years. Singing it in my native language brings me even closer to the emotions of longing, distance, and love for the place I still call home. This song is for anyone who has ever felt far from where they belong, and I hope it brings comfort and connection.
This Danish lullaby has lived in my heart since childhood. Growing up in Denmark, I used to sing it softly to myself — it always felt like a place I could go when I needed peace. Now, after so many years, I finally recorded it. Singing it in my native language felt like coming home. I wanted to share that stillness, that quiet strength, with you. We shot the cover art beneath the trees to reflect exactly what this song means to me: memory, nature, and the kind of calm that doesn’t need words.
My latest album, Another Way, embodies a message of perseverance, resilience, and the belief that anything is possible when you're willing to find a new path. This album is not just a collection of songs—it's a testament to the power of determination and the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. It's proof that with passion and persistence, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. There is always … another way.
Angry Angel is a song that embodies resilience, fire, and the fight to rise above. With haunting melodies and lyrics that cut deep, this track tells the story of an angel who refuses to be silenced—one who stands her ground even when the world pushes back. It's a raw, emotional journey through struggle and strength, reminding us that even in our most intense battles, there’s power in standing tall.
Love isn’t just about the sunshine; it’s about who holds your hand through the downpour. My new single Roses & Rain is out now! This one is for the souls who love without limits, who stand strong through every storm, and who never stop believing in each other—no matter what.
When I wrote Butterfly, it emerged from a place of deep pain and fear. I was lost in the uncertainty of what was happening to my body—undiagnosed, in pain, and afraid. But this song became my outlet, my way of processing those emotions and clinging to hope—just as a butterfly discovers its wings. This song is for anyone who has ever faced uncertainty, grief, or hardship. Let it be a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is always a way forward.
“Smoky Clouds” began as a thought experiment, inspired by a songwriting lesson from Rob Hegel — what if I wrote a story that wasn’t mine? I imagined a woman escaping an abusive relationship with her daughter, just the two of them, trying to survive. But as I wrote, I realized it was my story too. I had lived through that fear. This song became a tribute to all the women who find the strength to leave and rebuild — and to the daughters who give them the courage.
I wrote Home Away during a time when illness unexpectedly prevented me from returning to my home country. I'm from Denmark, and every other year, I’ve traveled back to visit my family. But when I got sick, that connection was suddenly severed, and I haven’t been able to return for six years. The emotions that come with that kind of separation are profound. Being away for so long makes you reflect deeply on your life. You start to question how you ended up in a different country and what led you to leave your homeland in the first place. This song captures that duality—the longing for your home country while also recognizing that you've built a new home where you are now. Home Away is a song for anyone who misses their homeland, for every immigrant around the world, or anyone who finds themselves far from the place they once called home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I’ve poured my heart into it. I can't wait to share it with you. Thank you so much.
